Woman with Coffee
To the creative woman reading this,

Think about what you've built for a moment. Whether it's a business, brand, or book (or all three), you've poured so much of your creative energy and brilliance into your work- and look how far you've come. You really did that!

Honest question though- how much fear and self-doubt did you have to push through to get to where you are right now?

Listen, creatives are bold and brilliant innovators, but we're our own worst critics.

That's why we need your voice in this anthology. The creative women in your circle are just like you and me. We need support. We need encouragement. We need advice. And many of us have a hard time asking for it. Love Letters for Women Who Create will provide it.

So, from one creative woman to another, here's my invitation:

Write a love letter and submit it to our anthology. Write the letter that you wish someone had given you when you needed it most. After we publish it, utilize the anthology as an additional revenue stream for your brand and as a resource to connect with, inspire, and grow your audience.

I look forward to sharing this journey with you!

- Janaye

Owner, Next Page

Here's what we're looking for:

We want encouraging and motivational love letters addressed to creative women (note: we believe every woman is creative, whether she's a mother, business owner, writer, artist, etc). Whoever who you have in mind, we want you to share your story, your wisdom, your mistakes, your words of affirmation, or anything else you feel compelled to share with her. Your letter should be a relatively quick read (850-1,000 words) and feel like a pick-me-up.

Submission Q&A

What are the submission requirements?

Submissions must be 850-1,000 words and relate to the anthology theme. Please write your letter in 2nd-person and format it as follows:

  • Times New Roman, 12 pt font

  • 1 inch margins

  • Double-spaced

Please note that we will only accept Word doc or docx files.

When will the book be published?

The book is tentatively scheduled to be published in early summer, 2021. If we do not receive enough submissions by our initial deadline, we may choose to extend our submission window for some time to allow for additional submissions. This may delay our release date.

Is there a submission fee?

Yes- there is a $100 submission fee which is due upon your submission and signing of our agreement. Upon publication, we will provide one complimentary, printed copy of the book. We will also design and provide a custom social media ad for you to promote the book to your network.

How would I benefit from this?

We should be clear and upfront in saying that contribution to an anthology does not guarantee sales or superstardom. However, we can promise a few things. Here's the top 3:

  • You'll become a published author (if you're not already).

  • Women across your co-authors' networks will become exposed to you & your brand.

  • You'll gain an additional revenue stream (by purchasing heavily discounted author copies from us and reselling them through your website).

How much will author copies cost?

As a contributing author, you will be able to purchase unlimited copies of the anthology at a heavily discounted rate. The author print price will depend on the total number of submissions we receive (which determines the final page count). We will communicate print costs before publication.
